Lucy Mitchell
RHS Gold Medal Winning Designer 2024
Growing up there was no question I would follow a creative path, an Art Foundation at Central St Martins led to a degree in Interior Architecture.
Enticed by the fast paced life of events and brand experience, I have spent over 15 years as an architectural designer, creating installations and activations for some of the biggest brands in the world.
In 2013 I set up my own business Seven Sisters Create, I started working for the Duke of Richmond of the Goodwood Estate, creating nature based installations, and it quickly became apparent that a career in Garden & Landscape Design was a natural next step, lockdown provided the opportunity to retrain, I signed up to Capel Manor immediately, studying for 3 academic years, culminating in a nomination for the Bali Chalk Fund student of the year and winner of a competition to design the garden of a legendary brutalist water tower.
Graduating in 2023 I set up La La Landscapes with the intension to focus on private & public garden & landscape design.
In 2024 I was awarded a Gold Medal for the mgr Changing Tides Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
